このたびUCHIGO and SHIZIMI Gallery では、2022 年4 ⽉22 ⽇(⾦)より4 名の作家によるグループ展 Douce Lumière (ドゥス・リュミエール) を開催いたします。
本展では、⾃宅の庭園で育てる植物たちの声を代弁する相原悦⼦、故郷の⾵景などを題材として⼈々の⼼情に寄り添う奥⼭帆夏、⾃らが感じる癒しを通して他者との共感を⽣みだす鷲⾒茜、⾃由な発想で廃材に新たな⽣命を吹き込む富⽥菜摘の新作を中⼼に発表いたします。
それぞれの独⾃性が光る作品から構成された空間を是⾮直接お楽しみください。

UCHIGO and SHIZIMI Gallery is pleased to announce "Douce Lumière" a group exhibition by four artists starting April 22 (Fri.), 2022.
We will feature new works by Etsuko Aihara, who represent the voice of plants which grows in her garden, Honoka Okuyama, who empathizes with people’s feelings using the landscapes of her hometown as models, Akane Sumi, who creates empathy with others through the healing she feels, and Natsumi Tomita, who breathes new life into scrap materials with free ideas.
We hope you will enjoy the works that shine with the originality and identity of each artist.
We look forward to seeing you at the exhibition.
STATEMENT
本展のタイトルであるDouceはフランス語で⼼地よい、愛情のこもった、穏やかな、柔らかな、⼼にしみる、⽢美な、環境に優しい、等といった多様な意味を含んだ形容詞、Lumièreは光、煌めき、(問題の)解明という意味の名詞です。
未知の感染症の蔓延とそれに伴う経済格差や価値観の分断の拡⼤、構わず急速に進み続ける気候変動。⽬を伏せたくなる複層的な問題を孕みながら、地球規模で緊張感の続いている現代社会。
そんな過渡期の只中で、体温と慈愛に満ちた4名の作家による作品を通じ、それぞれの個の未来に寄り添うさまざまな形の”光”を感じて頂けたらと願い企画をいたしました。
STATEMENT
The title of this exhibition, Douce, is a French adjective with various meanings: pleasant, affectionate, gentle, soft, touching, sweet, eco-friendly, etc. Lumière is a noun meaning light, glimmer, clarification.
The spread of unknown infectious diseases and the resulting economic disparity, widening difference of values and climate change that continues to advance at a rapid pace. We are facing a multilayered problem that makes us want to turn a blind eye to it, and the tense atmosphere still continues on a global scale.
In the midst of the transition period, we hope that you will be able to feel the various forms of "light" that will get close together each individual's future through the works of these four artists, full of warmth and love.

ARTIST PROFILES(五⼗⾳順)
相原 悦⼦| 画家
栃⽊県⽣まれ。2015 年武蔵野美術⼤学造形学部卒業。⾃宅の屋上に野菜・花・果樹を栽培する「屋上空中庭園」を持つ。同じ⽣き物として植物群と対等に触れ合い、⽬に⾒えた世界を独⾃の視点で描く油彩画家。幼少期より⺟⽅の美術的素養を⾝に付け、⽔墨画を嗜好した祖⺟や寺の住職を棄て放浪画家になった親戚からの影響を受けて育つ。2010年に画家⻄村富彌の知遇を得る。2012年熊⾕守⼀⼤賞展奨励賞。同年に武蔵野美術⼤
学造形学部に編⼊し、2015年に卒業作品研究室奨励賞。
奥⼭ 帆夏 | 画家
1996年北海道⽣まれ。現在、東京藝術⼤学⼤学院第6研究室卒業。⽣まれ育った場所の⾃然をモチーフとし、⽇々抱く⽋落感、郷愁の想いを解きながら⼈々の⼼情に寄り添えるものを描く。具体的な形態の中の抽象的イメージを探り出しながら、地と図が絡み合うように筆を置く事で視点が迷う感覚を⽣み出す。2020年MAKII MASARU FINE ARTS(東京)、2021年JINEN gallery(東京)にて個展を開催。また2021年に京都府京都⽂化博物館にて開催された「ARTISTSʼ FAIR KYOTO 2021」に参加。
鷲⾒ 茜 | 陶芸家
1995年愛知県⽣まれ。2020年東京藝術⼤学美術学部⼯芸科卒業。特有の⽩の⾊味の美しさに魅了され、磁器⼟の⼿びねりによって⽣き物をモチーフとする作品を⽣み出す陶芸作家。⼤学時代に教授や先輩による美しく繊細な磁器作品に深く感銘を受けると同時に、若⼿作家減少の現状を知る。加えて幼少期に磁器の⽣産が盛んな英国に在住した経験も影響し、現在の道を決意。⾃⾝が感じる「癒し」の要素を⼤切にしながらも共感を⽣
む作品を、名古屋市に⾃ら構えた⼩さな⼯房兼住居にて制作している。
富⽥ 菜摘 | 美術家
1986年東京都⽣まれ。2009年多摩美術⼤学絵画学科油画専攻卒業。不要となった⽇⽤品や電⼦機器、廃材や古紙を丁寧に組み⽴て、表情豊かで愛らしい動物の⽴体作品を制作している。また、個展だけでなく⾝近にある廃材を使ったワークショップの開催、店舗やテレビ番組の美術制作、ミュージックビデオのアートワークなども担当し、国内外問わず幅広く活動。浜⽥市世界こども美術館、東京オペラシティアートギャラリー、佐藤美術館(東京)、府中市美術館、多摩美術⼤学美術館に作品が収蔵されている。

Etsuko Aihara | Painter
Born in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. Graduated from the Faculty of Art and Design, Musashino Art University in 2015. Having a "Rooftop garden" on her house where she grows vegetables, flowers, and fruit trees. She is an oil painter who depicts the visible world from unique perspectives, interacting with plants on an equal terms as living creatures. She was favored by the painter Tomiya Nishimura in 2010, and awarded the Encouragement Prize at the Morikazu Kumagai Grand Prize Exhibition in 2012. In the same year, she transferred to Musashino Art University, and received an encouragement award for her graduation work in 2015.
Honoka Okuyama| Artist
Born in Hokkaido in 1996. graduated from the 6th research department of the Tokyo University of the Arts. Using the natural atmosphere where she was born and raised as a motif, she draws things that s close to people's emotions while expressing the feeling of falling and feelings of melancholy. While exploring the abstract image in the concrete form, by placing the brush so that the ground and the figure are intertwined, the point is created.
She has held solo exhibitions at MAKII MASARU FINE ARTS in Tokyo in 2020 and at JINEN gallery in Tokyo in 2021. He also participated in "ARTISTS' FAIR KYOTO 2021" held at the Museum of Kyoto in 2021.
Akane Sumi | Ceramic Artist
Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1995, graduated from the Department of Crafts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2020. She creates works of living things by molding porcelain clay for the reason that she is fascinated by the beauty of the white color. During her college years, she was deeply impressed by the beautiful and delicate porcelain works of her professors and seniors, and realised about the current situation of the decline of young porcelain artists. In addition, her childhood experience of living in the UK where porcelain production is thriving, influenced her to pursue her current career. She creates works that generate sympathy in her small studio in Nagoya while placing importance on the element of "comfort" that she feels herself.
Natsumi Tomita | Artist
Born in Tokyo in 1986, graduated from Tama Art University in 2009 with a major in oil painting. She carefully assembles unwanted daily use items, electronic devices, scrap materials, and used paper to create expressive and adorable animal sculptures. She holds not only her solo exhibitions, also holds workshops using scrap materials, creates art for stores, TV programs and music videos. Her works are in the collections of Hamada Children’s Museum of Art, Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, The Sato Art Museum (Tokyo), Fuchu Art Museum, and Tama Art University Museum.
